Cops investigate death outside LdF tavern

January 22, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Investigators are examining the death of a Racine County outside a tavern in northern Wisconsin. Vilas County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Joe Fath says a call came in just before 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, requesting an ambulance at Club 47 in Lac Du Flambeau. The dead man, identified as a 37-year-old Union Grove resident, was initially reported to have fallen in the parking lot, but it was later determined he had been involved in a fight. The Vilas County Sheriff's Department, Lac Du Flambeau Police, and the Wisconsin crime lab field response unit are all working on the investigation.
