Fake cop sought

January 30, 2008 By WRN Contributor

A fake cop is being sought in Racine County for improperly touching a Kenosha woman during a phoney traffic stop. The 21-year-old victim said she pulled over because of a red light on the dashboard of what she though was an unmarked police vehicle. The man who approached wore a belt with a gun and handcuffs, claimed she was speeding, and asked to search both her car and her person. Racine County Sheriff Robert Carlson reminds the public that no legitimate law enforcement officer uses a single red light on the job.
