Husband guilty in wife's murder

January 25, 2008 By WRN Contributor

After nearly 13 hours of deliberation a Fond du Lac County jury finds a 45-year-old Ripon man guilty of fatally bludgeoning his wife with a cinder block. Family and friends of murder victim Dawn Moore shared hugs and tears when a Fond du Lac County jury came back with a guilty verdict in her husband's case.

Prosecutor Tom Storm says they had a strong case against Kevin Moore and the jury saw it that way. Moore's attorney, Gerald Boyle, is filing a motion asking to set aside their verdict and has 20 days to that. He still believes someone else bludgeoned the 43-year-old woman to death at the Moore's Ripon home on November 13th, 2006. The courtroom was packed for the verdict when it was announced Thursday afternoon.
