Marquette & Wisconsin win women's games Wednesday night

Krystal Ellis scored 32 points to lead the Marquette Golden Eagles to a 78-74 win over Western Michigan in women's college action on Wednesday night.

The Golden Eagles improved to 8-5 with the win.  Ellis hit 12 of her 20 field goals, including 5 of 10 from three point range.

In Madison, the Badger women won for the first time this season in Big Ten play.  They downed Michigan State 84-71.

Freshman Alyssa Karel scored 19 on 8 of 11 shooting from the field, to lead the Badgers (8-5, 1-2) to the win.
