Packer dad gone bad

January 16, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Its a case of Packer enthusiasm gone too far. Charges are pending against a 36 year-old man, accused of taping up his son for not wearing a Green Bay Packer jersey. Columbia County Lieutenant Wayne Smith says the boy involved is 7 years old. Matthew Kowald of Pardeeville is accused of taping up his son for an hour, after the youngster refused to wear a Packer jersey. The jersey was also taped to the boy. The ordeal reportedly happened during last Saturday's Packer-Seahawks game.

In addition to the incident involving his son, Matthew Kowald is also accused in a domestic with his wife that same day. Kowald faces felony charges of causing mental harm to a child and false imprisonment.
