Packers get ready for Seahawks

January 9, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Jason Spitz returned to the practice field on Tuesday and will start at guard for the Packers when they face the Seattle Seahawks on the NFC Divisional playoffs on Saturday at Lambeau Field.

Spitz practiced for the first time since injuring a thigh muscle in the win over the Detroit Lions on December 30.

That means Spitz will join Daryn Colledge as the starting guards for the playoff opener.

— Running back Brandon Jackson didn't practice with the team yesterday.          Jackson was sent home with flu-like symptoms and is expected to be back today.

— Packers quarterback Brett Favre received just one vote in the balloting for the
NFL's Offensive Player of the Year.  That honor belongs to New England QB Tom Brady.
