Badgers join Boilermakers atop the Big Ten

February 21, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Trevon Hughes scored 18 points and Marcus Landry added 17 to lead the Wisconsin Badgers to a 71-57 win over Illinois in Champaign.

The win moved the Badgers into a first place tie with Purdue atop the Big Ten standings.  It's also the 22nd win of the year overall for Wisconsin.

Illinois' loss guarantees the Illini their first losing season since 1999.

Demetri McCamey had 18 points to lead the Illini.  He scored all 18 in the second half.
