Green Bay, Milwaukee get Bracket Buster Assignments

February 5, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay men's basketball team has been given a home game in the Saturday, Feb. 23 ESPNU BracketBusters tournament.  Green Bay (12-9, 6-5) will host the Broncos at the Resch Center in the 7pm tipoff.

The Broncos sport a 12-9 overall record, including a 6-2 mark in Mid-American Conference play.  Western Michigan is coached by Steve Hawkins, who is in his fifth season at the helm of the program.

This is the fifth straight year that Green Bay has competed in the BracketBusters pool, and it will be its fourth home game.  During the 2008-09 season, the Phoenix will travel to Kalamazoo to take on Western Michigan in a regular season game.

UW-Milwaukee not only won't have to travel far, but the Panthers will get their game on TV.

The Panthers will travel to Peoria, Illinois for the Feb. 23 event.  The game will be one of four nationally televised contests involving Horizon League teams, but times and channels will not be announced until next week.

Bradley is 13-10 (6-5 Missouri Valley Conference) after beating Evansville on Saturday.  The Panthers are 12-10 overall.
