WIAA Changes Football OT Rule

February 1, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The WIAA Board of Controls has approved a change for overtime in football for the 2008 season.  Next year when a game goes to overtime, each team will start possessions at the 25-yard-line rather than the 10 as they had done since OT was instituted at the high school level.  The new rule brings the preps in line with the college overtime rule.
