Badger Hockey Team Ready For Regional

March 28, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Badger men's hockey team is ready to square off with Denver in the Midwest Regional this weekend at the Kohl Center.  Denver is the #2 seed after winning the WCHA Tournament while the Badgers are the #3 seed.

Wisconsin, with a 15-16-7 record, is the first sub .500 team to ever be given an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.  Forward Ben Street says that Wisconsin is out to prove that they belong in the tournament.

Head Coach Mike Eaves says the the Badgers have as good a shot as anyone in the tournament and that they were given a bid for a reason.

The puck drops at 5:30pm on Saturday night in Madison.
