Badger men's hockey team likely done for the season

March 16, 2008 By WRN Contributor

When the University of Wisconsin hosts the NCAA Midwest Hockey regional at the end of the month, the Badgers most likely won't be a part of the field.

The Badgers bowed out of their WCHA opening round playoff series, falling to St. Cloud State 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night.  The Huskies captured the first two games in the best-of-3 series.

Sophomore Ryan Lasch scored 3 minutes, 57 seconds into overtime on Saturday night.  It was the 25th goal of the season for Lasch, the WCHA's scoring leader.

The Badgers fell to 15-16-7 with the loss.
