Badger women fall in WNIT opener

The Wisconsin women's basketball team saw their season come to an end in the opening round of the WNIT, falling 60-54 to Villanova at the UW Field House.

Senior Jolene Anderson scored 21 points to conclude her collegiate career with 2,312 points.  The Badgers end their season with a 16-14 record.  Villanova improves to 17-15 and will continue on in the tournament.

The Badgers were making their fourth appearance in the WNIT.  They finished as runnerup last year, falling to Wyoming in the title game.

13,082 were on hand in Madison for the game.
