Badgers Not Buying Into Cinderella

March 25, 2008 By WRN Contributor

As the Wisconsin Badgers get ready to face Davidson on Friday night in the Midwest Regional Semifinals at Detroit's Ford Field, they are not getting caught up in the hype of their opponent being this year's "Cinderella" team in the NCAA Tournament.  Davidson advanced to the "Sweet 16" with by knocking off Gonzaga and 2nd seeded Georgetown.

Stephen Curry, the son of former NBA sharp-shooter Del Curry has been getting most of the publicity after scoring 40 points in the win over Gonzaga.  It will be up to Michael Flowers to stop him on Friday night.

The Badgers say that Davidson is not a Cinderella as all 16 teams that advanced through the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament deserve to be there and they are a good team.

Friday night's game tips off at 6:10pm, Central.  The winner will face Villanova or Kansas on Sunday in the Regional Final.
