Brewers announce roster moves

March 21, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers placed right handed pitcher Yovani Gallardo on the 15-day disabled list, a move that was anticipated.  He's been pitching in camp, getting ready for the season, but won't likely be ready to go until some time in mid-April.

The Brewers also sent C/INF/OF Vinny Rottino and LHP Mitch Stetter to Triple-A Nashville.

On the field, the Brewers beat the San Diego Padres 4-3.  Ryan Braun clubbed a 3-run homer in the win.  Dave Bush worked 5-innings and allowed 2 runs on four hits for the win.  Carlos Villanueva went 4 innings and allowed 1 run for the save.

The Brewers send Claudio Vargas to the mound on Saturday when they take on the San Francisco Giants in Scottsdale.
