March 31, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Marquette Golden Eagles are in the WNIT semifinals, beating Kentucky in Sunday's quarterfinals 69-64.

Krystal Ellis poured in a career-high 40 points to lead the Golden Eagles.  Ellis knocked down five three-pointers and hit 13 of her 14 free throws.

Marquette won despite shooting 38% from the field.

The Golden Eagles will face Colorado in Wednesday's WNIT semifinals.
