Marquette rolls on senior night in Milwaukee

March 5, 2008 By WRN Contributor

After being shutout by Georgetown on Saturday, Lazar Hayward scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Marquette Golden Eagles to a 67-37 senior night win over Florida Gulf Coast in a non-conference game at the Bradley Center.

The 37 points allowed is the second best defensive effort by a Tom Crean coached team.  Marquette held Illinois State to 32 points during the 2004-05 season.

Wesley Matthews added 12 points and Dominique James 11 in the win.  Marquette winds up its regular season in Big East play at Syracuse on Saturday.
