Packers a part of Primetime Opening Weekend

The NFL announced today its 2008 Kickoff Weekend national primetime television schedule, including a Monday night doubleheader and the  Green Bay Packers are a part of the opening weekend package.

The Packers will open their season on Monday night, September 8 against the Minnesota Vikings (6pm) at Lambeau Field.  The Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders will follow.

The Super Bowl Champion New York Giants will open the season at home against the Washington Redskins on Thursday night, Sept. 4th.

The Sunday night game, on September 7, features the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts at Indianapolis.

The rest of the 2008 regular-season schedule will be completed and announced in April.
