Sheets gets roughed up in Brewers exhibition loss

March 12, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Ben Sheets was tagged for his first five runs of the spring on Tuesday as the Giants batted around in the second inning of Milwaukee 's 8-4 loss to San Francisco in Phoenix.

Sheets allowed 8 hits and 2 walks yesterday.  The Brewers face the Seattle Mariners in Peoria today.

Meanwhile, Yovani Gallardo, who had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee at the start of spring training, will face hitters for the first time in live batting practice against minor-league hitters.

Gallardo won't likely start the season in the Brewers starting rotation, but should be ready to go a couple of weeks in.
