St. Norbert College advances to Division 3 title game

The top ranked St. Norbert College hockey team advanced to the NCAA Division III Frozen Four championship game, beating Norwich 3-0 in the semi-finals in Lake Placid.

The Green Knights jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Tyler Allen and Steven Sleep.

Matt Boyd added a second period goal for the final margin.

Kyle Jones turned aside 26 shots for the shutout, his 9th of the season and 24th of his career, both NCAA III records.

St. Norbert (26-1-4) advances to its third national title game Sunday against Plattsburgh State University (25-4).
