Bessert takes over at Ashwaubenon

April 29, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Ashwaubenon high school has named its new head football coach after long time coaching legend Ken Galomski retired after last season.

Bessert is a 1969 graduate of Ashwaubenon and takes over after coaching in the Green Bay area for the past 30 years.

Bessert has been a part of seven conference championships during his coaching career, along with two state titles.

Bessert is a teacher at Ashwaubenon and has been with the Jaguars coaching staff since 2002.  He takes over a program that has captured four state championships in Galomski's tenure.  Galomski left after 25 seasons in Ashwaubenon as head coach.
