The United Steelworkers Union and environmental groups join forces. It's a partnership called the Blue Green Alliance , and Sierra Club Midwest Associate Rosemary Wehnes says producing components for wind and solar could be a bonanza. "The Blue Green Alliance commissioned a study that showed we could add 35,00 jobs in Wisconsin over a ten year period," said Wehnes.
What do Green jobs look like? Wehnes says Wisconsin already has some, like a firm in Milwaukee which produces power inverters used in the wind industry. Green Jobs for America is a public information campaign that will run through September in Wisconsin and eleven other states.
