Brown and Kokalis leaving Bonecrushers

April 8, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Milwaukee Bonecrushers Coach Gilbert Brown and General Manager Chris Kokalis have resigned their respective positions.  They're being joined by Defensive Coordinator Gene Rhodes, Jr. and Offensive Coordinator Jeff Hermann have also resigned from the team.

A news conference is scheduled for 1pm Wednesday.

The Bonecrushers are an expansion franchise playing its first season within the 15-team Continental Indoor Football League.  The team fell to 0-3 after a 62-53 loss to the Flint Phantoms on Sunday.

In a joint statement, Kokalis and Brown said: "We're greatful for the opportunity to work with the Bonecrushers and help bring indoor football back to Milwaukee.  The team was making progress, however we have irreconcilable differences with the ownership group of the Bonecrushers and feel it is best to move in a new direction.

Brown will be formally introduced into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame as a member of the 2008 Class on July 19, 2008.
