Favre talks retirement with David Letterman

April 25, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Brett Favre told CBS Late Show  host David Letterman that he's retired from pro football but admitted that as the Packers' training camp gets closer, "somethings bound to happen."

Letterman followed by asking Favre what he meant by the comment and Favre said, "I don't know.  Did I just say that."

Favre doesn't appear to be thinking about coming back.  He instead appears to be playful when he continually gets asked about it.  I think he's staying right where he is, in retirement.  But it's amazing the number of people already today, that continue to soak up every word and immediately form the opinion that he's not done yet.
