Fiancé of murdered student can end lease

April 14, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The fiancé of murdered UW-Madison student Brittany Zimmerman is not being held to his lease, for the aparment where her body was found. There have been reports recently indicating otherwise.

Russ Endres is the president of Wisconsin Management Company, which owns the building where Zimmerman was found earlier this month. He says all parties will be released from any obligations. They intend to clean the unit and make repairs after the police release the scene. Endres says they've also offered to help Jordan Gonnering find other housing.

Endres says he couldn't make any comment, until he talked with the family. But he says in retrospect, he should have been more media savvy.
