Fielder leads Brewers to win over Phillies

April 24, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Prince Fielder clubbed a pair of 2-run home runs, including the go-ahead shot in the eighth off of Phillies ace Cole Hamels, as the Milwaukee Brewers beat Philadelphia 5-4.

The home runs were number's 2 and 3 of the season for Fielder, after clubbing 50 all of last year.

Cole Hamels took the loss (2-3), despite striking out a season-high 11 Brewers hitters.

Mitch Stetter pitched scoreless seventh and eighth innings to get the win for the Brewers.

Derrick Turnbow worked the ninth for his 1st save in a year.

The Brewers close out the 2-game series with a day game today.
