Jump from justice

April 24, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Flight from prosecution takes on a new meaning for a 28-year-old Evansville woman. Rock County Sheriff's Lieutenant Gary Groelle says Lisa Collins was being questioned during a speeding stop on Interstate 90 early Wednesday evening when she decided to jump from the overpass. Groelle says Collins suffered minor injuries to her back after falling about 20-feet to a rail car, and then further to the ground. Groelle says the total fall was 30-to-40 feet. Collins was arrested on several outstanding warrants including new charges of obstructing, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and operating after revocation.
