State Representative Marlin Schneider (D-Wisconsin Rapids), the state's leading privacy advocate, says the state needs more oversight when it comes to protecting privacy. However, he says the Legislature has shown little interest in taking steps to make that happen.
The latest breach involves information collected on senior citizens the gauge their nutritional health. Apparently, there's widespread access to the information, even though a state officials admitted their were security issues.
