Wisconsin golfers in danger of missing the Masters cut

April 11, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Steve Stricker's week at the Masters may be over and fellow Madison native Jerry Kelly is struggling to avoid going down that road as well.

After a 1-over par 73 yesterday, Stricker shot a 5 over 77 on day 2 today to go 6-over par after two rounds.

Kelly fired an even par 72 yesterday, but is 5 over through 12 holes today to put him 5-over for the tournament.

It's been a good day for the leaders.  Trevor Immelman fired a 4-under par 68 to go 8-under for the tournament.  He's in the clubhouse with a 1-shot lead on Brandt Snedeker who also fired a 4-under par 68.

Steve Flesch has the best round of the day so far, firing a 5-under par 67 and is 3 shots off the lead at 5-under par.

Phil Mickelson fired a 4-under par 68 and heads to the weekend at -5, three shots back.

Tiger Woods is on the course and remains at even par through 9-holes.
