Brewers drop 5th straight, swept in Boston

May 19, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers were swept by the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park this weekend, losing the series finale 11-7 on Sunday.

David Ortiz homered twice and drove in four runs to lead the Red Sox.  Kevin Youkilis and Dustin Pedroia also hit long balls for the Red Sox, who tallied four home runs.

The Brewers hit four of their own, two by Ryan Braun and one each from Prince Fielder and J.J. Hardy, but it wasn't enough from preventing the Brewers from losing their 9th straight road game.

The Brewers have dropped 9-straight road games.  They're off today and open a 3-game series in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
