Brewers Edge Braves 3-2

May 28, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers took their series opener with the Braves last night 3-2 at Miller Park.  Bill Hall has sat the last few games with Russell Branyan getting the start at 3rd base, but he was the hero on Tuesday night.

After entering the game in the 9 th inning, Hall singled, was sacrificed to 2 nd base by Rickie Weeks, stole third and then scored the Game winner on a Mike Cameron Sacrafice Fly.

Salomon Torres picked up the win while Jeff Bennett was hung with the loss.  Dave Bush may have saved his spot in the rotation with 7 strong innings, giving up just two solo home runs runs on six hits.

For the Brewers it was another win at home.  The team is 12-9 at Miller Park this season, but just 13-18 on the road.

The series continues tonight as Jeff Suppan will take the hill for Ned Yost.  The Braves counter with Jo Jo Reyes.  They will throw the first pitch at 7:05pm at Miller Park.
