Brewers look to end 5-game slide

May 20, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers try to end a 5-game losing streak tonight when they open a three-game series in Pittsburgh against the Pirates.

The Brewers will send Manny Parra (1-2) to the mound against Pittsburgh's Paul Maholm (2-4).

Pittsburgh has played well at home, going 12-8 so far this season.  The Brewers have dropped nine-straight road games.

Milwaukee is in last place in the NL Central, trailing fourth place Pittsburgh and Cincinnati by 1-game.  The Brewers are 7 1/2 games behind the division leading Chicago Cubs.
