Gamblers complete 2008 USHL Draft

May 15, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay Gamblers acquired the rights to 14 players either by draft or by trade on Wednesday.

The Gamblers selected North Dakota University forward Michael Forney with the number-1 overall pick in the USHL Entry Draft.  After a trade, they selected Northern Michigan University goaltender Reid Ellingson with the 2nd overall pick.  That trade also gives the Gamblers the rights to Wisconsin's Mr. Hockey, Jefferson Dahl from Eau Claire.

Green Bay also selected forward Sean Little who played high school hockey at Fond du Lac before going to Madison last season to play with the Madison Capitols.  Sean Little is the younger brother of former Gambler Ryan Little who will play for the Badgers this coming season.
