No Deal For Beaver

May 6, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Former UW-Whitewater running back Justin Beaver will not be offered a contract by the Green Bay Packers.  Beaver ran for over 2,400 yards last season and was the DIII Player of the Year at Whitewater but went undraftted.  The 5'7 tailback was invited to Green Bay to tryout during the team's rookie minicamp this past weekend with hopes of earning a contract to attend training camp.  The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the Packers told Beaver's agent on Monday that he would not be offered a deal.
