Whitewater Still Alive

May 26, 2008 By WRN Contributor

UW-Whitewater defeated Chapman 7-4 on Sunday to stay alive in the NCAA Division III College World Series being played at Appleton's Fox Cities Stadium.

Whitewater's Jeff Donovan belted a three-run homer in the fourth to put the Warhawks ahead of the #1 ranked team in the country.  Joe Munn added a solo shot in the 8th for some insurance to help make a winner out of Aaron Dott.  He struck out three and allowed five runs.

Whitewater plays Adrian this afternoon at 12pm in an elimination game.  The winner of that game will play Johns Hopkins later today.  Trinity advanced to the Championship Game by beating Johns Hopkins last night.   The DIII National Champion will be crowned on Tuesday.
