Brewers Back In Action Tonight

June 27, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers open up a three game Interleague series at the Metrodome with the Minnesota Twins tonight.  The Twins took two of three from the Brewers a couple of weeks ago at Miller Park. The Brewers will send Seth McClung to the hill tonight while Minnesota will counter with Nick Blackburn.  McClung is 5-2.  Blackburn is 6-4.

Brewer closer Eric Gagne struggled in a rehab start at Triple-A Nashville last night.  Gagne gave up 2 hits, a walk and 2 runs in 2/3 of an inning of work.

A pair of Brewer prospects were selected to play in the Major League Baseball Future's Game during the All-Star Break at Yankee Stadium.  Outfielder Matt LaPorta and 3rd baseman Mat Gamel were ask to play for the U.S. Team as they take on the World Team.  The game features the best minor league players in the country.
