Brewers Lose In Atlanta

June 26, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Atlanta Braves doubled up the Brewers 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon to avoid the sweep and end Milwaukee's four game win streak.

Both teams scored a pair of runs in the 3rd inning, but the Braves got two more in the 5th off of starter Jeff Suppan to pick up the win.  Suppan went six innings, giving up four runs to take the loss.  Braves starter Jorge Campillo was solid in 7 innings, giving up just two runs and four hits to notch the win.  Mike Gonzalez pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save.

The Brewers will take today off and then open up a weekend interleague series with the Minnesota Twins at the Metrodome on Friday night.
