Brewers sweep D-Backs, run win streak to 6

June 5, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers got home runs from Corey Hart and Russell Branyan, on their way to a 10-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks and a sweep of their 3-game series at Miller Park.

Hart's home run was of the Inside-the-park variety and traveled just 206 feet, but it was enough for the Brewers rightfielder to circle the bases.

Gabe Kapler had a big offensive day, collecting four hits as the Brewers won their 6th in a row.  During the 6-game streak, the Brewers have outscored their opponents 40-8.  They finished up their 9-game homestand with an 8-1 record.

Manny Parra surrendered just 4 hits in 7 innings of work to pick up his 4th win
(4-2) of the season.  Parra tied his career high with 8 strikeouts, retiring the final 14 batters he faced.
