Collins Wants To Hold Starting Spot

June 26, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay Packers have about a month off before training camp opens up at the end of the July.  There are not many starting spots up for grabs this season, but one position that is open is as safety where Nick Collins will try and hold off 2nd year man Aaron Rouse.

Collins has had an up and down career since being drafted by the Pack.  He says that one thing he must do to keep his starting spot is make more plays.  Collins says that last season he knocked down a lot of passes, but in the NFL you must make interceptions if you want to keep  your job.

Collins adds that he isn't scared of competition and the thinks that he is one of the more versitile safeties in the NFL

Packer training camp opens on July 28th.
