On the race scene

June 2, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Ryan Briscoe, most famous for knocking Danica Patrick out of the Indy 500 with a pit stop collision, won the A.J. Foyt 225 Indy Car Race at the Milwaukee Mile on Sunday.

It's the first victory for Briscoe, riding for Team Penske.  Briscoe caught Scott Dixon and passed him for the lead on lap 177 and then held on for the win in the 225 lap race.

Both Briscoe and Dixon were fortunate to make their way through a crash with four laps go and make it to the finish.

Kyle Bush won the Best Buy 400, picking up his series-best fourth win of the season on the Sprint Cup Circuit.

Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle finished 2nd and 3rd.  Cambridge native Matt Kenseth finished 4th.
