Take him out to the ballgame

June 21, 2008 By WRN Contributor

A Weston man is a semi-finalist in a music video contest to sing " Take Me Out to the Ballgame " in next month's All-Star game. Major League Baseball created the contest this year in honor of the song's 100th birthday. And Tyler Duke says he used the song's original lyrics. Duke is competing against eight others for the grand prize – an all-expense paid trip to sing the song at the All-Star game next month. Anyone can vote for their favorite video online .

Duke says his friends and family are voting like crazy for him to win. The Web site will allow up to 25 votes per e-mail address. The three most popular videos will advance to the final round and their creators will perform at the All-Star FanFest the day before the big game.
