Weather delays State Baseball Championships

June 13, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Only one champion was crowned on Thursday at the WIAA State Baseball Championships at Fox Cities Stadium.

Burlington Catholic Central beat Rosholt 11-6 to win the Division 4 title game.  Weather delayed the game for more than 3 hours before it was completed.

The Division 3 title game was suspended in the third inning with Marathon leading Aquinas 3-2.  Play resumed in that game at 9am this morning.

The Division 2 championship will follow with West De Pere facing Prairie Du Chien.  Then Kimberly plays for its second straight Division 1 title, facing Kenosha Bradford in the final championship game of the day.
