Brewers Make A Trade

July 21, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers have made another trade for their playoff push by acquiring 2 nd baseman Ray Durham from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for minor league outfielder Darren Ford and minor league pitcher Steve Hammond.  The 36-year-old is hitting .293 and could push Rickie Weeks for playing time at 2 nd base.

Durham found out that the deal was done before Sunday's game but had to sit in the Giants dugout on Sunday because they were not going to announce the trade until after the game.

Durham traveled with the Brewers to St. Louis after the game.
