CC Shuts Down Cards

CC Sabathia  CC Sabathia shut out the St. Louis Cardinals 3-0 on Wednesday night after a leadoff walk, Sabathia retired the next 17 Cardinal hitters before giving up a pair of hits in the 6 th inning.   CC gave up just 3 total hits and struck out 7 as he improves to 4-0 with the Brewers.

JJ Hardy got the Brewers on the board with a solo homer in the 5 th .  Rickie Weeks added a Sac Fly in the 6 th and Ryan Braun belted his 25 th homer in the 9 th to round out the scoring.  Bruan finished the day with four hits, including a triple and two singles to go with his round tripper. 

Ned Yost got tossed in the 5 th for arguing a strike call against Prince Fielder. 

Milwaukee has won 7 straight games, including six straight on the road, which is the longest road win streak since 1999.  Ben Sheets takes the hill tonight as Milwaukee looks for the sweep.  The Cubs stopped Arizona 10-6 last night to stay a game up on the Brewers in the Division.
