Rivera Retires A Packer

July 22, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Former Pro Bowl guard Marco Rivera has decided to retire from pro football as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

1996 sixth round draft pick out of Penn State played the first nine of his 11 NFL seasons in Green Bay before signing as a free agent in Dallas for the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Rivera made 3 Pro Bowls with the Packers from 2002 to 2004 and played in 99 straight games.
