Rodgers Speaks…Other Packer Notes

July 10, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Aaron Rodgers made his first statement about the rumors of  Brett Favre returning.  During a conference call to promote a celebrity golf tournament, Rodgers said he hadn't talked to Favre but wouldn't let any rumors rattle him.

The Packers have moved the kickoff time for their August 28 th preseason game with Tennessee at Lambeau Field up an hour to 6pm.  Both team's preseason TV networks had asked for the change so they could join coverage of the Democratic National Convention as close to 9pm as possible.

The Packers and Mike McCarthy announced a $100,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay on Wednesday.  The money will be used to help fund a new teen program endowment.
