Suspect in Madison murder makes court appearence

July 1, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Adam Peterson made his first appearance in Dane County Court Tuesday, in connection with the January murder of Joel Marino. The former UW student charged in the stabbing death of Marino appeared in protective clothing, often used on inmates to prevent suicide. He's scheduled for a status conference next week. Peterson was arrested last week in Minnesota, after his DNA matched the DNA found at the crime scene. Marino was stabbed at his home January 28th. Peterson is being represented by Public Defender Dennis Burke.
