The ball is in Favre's court

July 14, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Brett Favre The ball is now in Brett Favre's court.  The Green Bay Packers this weekend said they would not release the veteran quarterback and that he's welcome to join the team, but not necessarily as a starter.

Favre now has two weeks to decide if he wants to report or stay retired.

If he doesn report, the Packers could keep him on the roster, trade him or release him.
