Will Favre call Packers bluff?

July 16, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Brett Favre Retired Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre sayd he's tempted to show up at the Packers' training camp at the end of the month, just to call the team's “bluff”.

Players are scheduled to report on July 27th and Favre told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren he knows his arrival in camp would cause a media circus.  But Favre also added, “I don't want to go back there just to stick it to them.”

While Favre said he feels for Aaron Rodgers, he wouldn't want to take a back seat to him by accepting a role as the teams backup quarterback.

Packers GM Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy have said they are concerned about Favre's legacy, but Favre said that's his problem, not theirs.  He admitted that a trade might be the only way to get his way.
