Former Badger, Richter headed for U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame

August 13, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Former Wisconsin Badger goaltender Mike Richter is one of four in the 2008 class to go into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.  He'll join NHL stars Brett Hull and Brian Leetch, as well as Cammi Granato in the October 10th ceremony in Denver.

Richter becomes just the 4th Badger in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, joining Bob Johnson, Mark Johnson and Bob Suter.

Cammi Granato is the all-time women's leading scorer.  She'll be the first woman ever to be inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
