A Washburn County man missing in the woods for nearly two days has been fonud alive. Sheriff Terry Dryden says the 38 year-old man has medical problems and could have died had rescuers not found him when they did.

Dryden says a canine named Vador and his handler found the man about 30 minutes after arriving on the scene Thursday. The man was located in the woods some 200 yards from his home in the village of Barronett, at about 1:15 PM, after he'd been missing for 42 hours.

Dryden says the man, whose name has not been released, was semiconscious and was taken to Shell Lake Hospital for treatment.
